Fioricet Side Effects – What to Look For
I heard a lot about the possible Fioricet side effects before I started taking it, so I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to take the plunge and try it. I mean, it seems that every time you turn on the TV these days, you are bombarded with ads for the latest wonder drugs. And what do they all have in common? They have a laundry list of side effects that the announcer reads at the end. It almost makes it sound like these drugs do more harm than good. You have to wonder how many people are apprehensive about trying them.
I decided to do the prudent thing and perform some research into the Fioricet side effects before I tried it. What I quickly discovered is that these side effects, as is the case with most prescription drugs, for the most part are pretty rare, and people generally experience them a low percentage of the time. It’s just that for legal purposes, the drug companies need to mention them in their ads. This really put my mind at ease, because I didn’t want to take something that was going to cure one problem but cause another. What would be the point?
So what are some of the more common possible Fioricet side effects? Here are a few: dizziness, drowsiness, intoxicated feeling, light-headedness, and nausea. You should also be sure to talk to your doctor about any medical conditions you might have, like liver disease, alcohol or drug dependency, mental conditions, heart disease, and any allergies you might have. You also want to be sure your doctor is aware of any medications you might already be taking, like blood thinners or anti-anxiety drugs. And if you are pregnant, you shouldn’t take Fioricet unless your doctor says it is really needed.
Sounds kind of scary, doesn’t it? But don’t worry. From what I’ve read most folks don’t experience the Fioricet side effects, and for those that do, they sometimes go away after a short period of time. The important thing is to talk to your doctor if you start to experience any of them. Fortunately for me, I didn’t experience any side effects, and Fioricet really helped make my tension headaches go away, which has been a welcome relief. You have to remember that with taking any prescription drug, there is always a potential risk, but the rewards can be significant.
